SATURDAY MORNING

Saturday morning, that’s the name of Marni‘s latest capsule collection. A Lounge and sleepwear basically for lazy Saturday mornings. The Italian fashion house collaborated for the prints with dutch illustrator Rop van Mierlo. Famous for his “Wild animals” for which he was nominated for the this years Dutch Design Awards, he licensed four illustrations from his award-winning book for Marni’s T-shirts and shirts.

Certainly my favorite, the one with the fluffy donkey. It reminds me “Beautiful Greece”.

QUIRKY ROMANS AT ESPRIT

Quirky statuesque humorous Romans decorate ESPRIT‘S limited edition t-shirts. The artist, a young American, Andy Rementer has not done only the two prints but decorated also the limited edition designs of the winning RCA students Julia Mackenroth, Ryan Mercer and Rachel Hall.

Graduating RCA students were asked to create a collection that broached the question of whether fashion can be truly sustainable. The collection was also to reflect the zeitgeist of the students’ generation.

Here are my favorite designs.
