TROPICAL HEAT WAVE

Yazbukey: “I’ve always had a fantasy about the California life, and this collection is about different people meeting in a motel in California in the 1960s. It’s called Tropical Heat Wave, for Marilyn Monroe’s song, because I think there is a little Marilyn in each one of us. She’s not perfect, but I think she was one of the most beautiful women in the world and she was very clever.”

SUMMER FASHGIF’S OF 2013

Every second now there are coming new fashion images up online. I’ve just visited Fashgif, the blog with the funny fashion gif’s and because there are so many new ones this week it was impossible to just choose one. So for this weekend I decided to choose two, (very summer(y) choises as always)…and here they are:

GET RID OF THE BAD THINGS, INA JANG

The Brooklyn based photographer Ina Jang found a recipe for things you don’t like in images: Simply cut it out and replace it with something you like better.

Cut, cut, cut with a pair of scissors and find a replacement….

“I was forcing myself to like everything—from the people I was working with to locations where I was shooting, so I started getting rid of the elements I didn’t like in the picture.”

I’m a big fan of this idea and I think we should use this recipe also for our daily life.

So…let’s get rid of the boring, unuseful, bad things in our life and let’s replace them with something nice, beautiful, exciting and happy…a new world will appear in front of us :-)
