SKIN DECORATORS IN COLLABORATION

I’ve always been a big fan of tattoos, they decorate since centuries our bodies and they will always do. A tattoo is something very personal and it tells a story about the one which is carrying it and I love seeing specially elderly people with their fainted tattoos. They seem like proud owners of a painted travelling story.

Jewelry artist Noemi Klein and East London tattooist Liam Sparks made this very impressive collaboration, where the jewelry integrates in the big story painted on the body.

Body decorations: jewelry and tattoos. One you can remove, the other one stays forever.

And at the end Noemi and Liam almost have the same job, they both decorate skin.

MAGICAL REALISM

Did you ever read the book “One Hundred Years of Solitude” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez? This collection by Tata Christiane is inspired by this book and also by the expression Magical realism, created by German art critic Franz Roh in 1925, expressing a genre of fiction, in which magical elements blend into the reality, to create another reality.

This collection will turn around mocked mood, mixture of fabrics and motivs. Feathers and froufrou. Fantastic and marvellous. And Humour.

Tata Christiane is a fashion and costume label founded in 2007 by Julie Bourgeois and Hanrigabriel and one of the new big star labels of the German fashion world. Tata Christiane creates collections that realise fantasy. What is brought to the stage is brought to life in a wearable, extravagant fashion.

Fashion is for me a crossing of the various arts and ways of expression in a playful dynamic of life.

PONY HAIR JEWELRY

“Whether the specific inspiration comes from surrealism, Charles Darwin experiments or ancient myths, there is always a link through an industrial approach to conveying nature in a piece of jewellery.”

Bjørg Nordli-Mathisen is a Norwegian jewelry designer who lives a nomadic lifestyle always drifting towards new corners of the world in search of inspiration. The white knight and black knight ear cuffs, are my favorites. I sincerely would like to have them in red, but as they exist only in those two natural colors I would choose the black ones. If it is hot you can use the PALE MOON necklaces of course also as a fan. The necklaces come in different sizes…(the big one cools the best :) , and that’s also the one I would choose…) This is an absolutely unique piece… the WILD HORSE COLLAR…

And rings of course, with long and short hair…and much more…to see everything have a look at Bjørg‘s website, where you can find all the different collection pieces from this s/s 2012 collection. Something more at the end: cool glasses…

HERMIONE, THE VERY STYLISH COW

OH LA VACHE…Video artist and photographerJean-Baptiste Mondino and his friend designer Philippe Starck, from time to time, they call on each other’s skillful craziness this time at the New York’s Hudson Hotel.

All these pictures were moved after at the Parisienne Milk Factory gallery, and Hermione, the stylish cow is back on her fields enjoying nature, and dreaming still of her glorious days as the star of Paris fashion week.
